A deep dive into the Haitian Revolution

Hello my lovelies!

This is my deep dive into the Haitian Revolution, where I discuss Haiti’s history and its importance in the modern world. In this episode we also get into how the Haitian revolution directly relates to the current state of Haiti as we speak.

Knowledge is truly power, but unfortunately some stories are omitted from the official narrative because they disrupt the status quo. Haiti’s issues directly result in it being made an example of due to their success in pushing the west from its boarders.

The Slave narrative can be so depressing, so much loss and heart ache and anger comes from reading and learning about these stories. But these stories do not just have to be a tragedy. The Haitian revolution is an island of hope in a sea of dispare and the fact that it’s history is not widely known or taught I knew I had to discuss it in detail during this series.

HAITI IS IMPORTANT, HAITI IS VALUABLE, HAITI IS HISTORY!
